Day 28

One thing I love about my job is that I get to meet different kinds of people from all walks of life--farmers, potters, carpenters, teachers, pastry chefs, entrepreneurs and even government officials. You get to be flexible and be a "Jack of all traits".

Today, the Bamboo Village was inaugurated and I was tasked to document it and prepare the required reports. Taking photos under the sun is not an easy task especially you are documenting political figures including the previous President, GMA. But I conditioned myself to stay cool and look at the brighter side of things. It's not everyday that you'll experience opportunities like this. Its all in a matter of making the most out of every situation.

Here's the entry to the Bamboo Village. I was tasked to be a graphic artist and design the tarpaulins.

The former president arrived wearing a simple Lacoste shirt. She was really simple, and yes, she's a pretty woman. This was my second time to see GMA.

This was the official bamboo plant of the former President and now the incumbent Congresswoman.

Together with CGMA is the Governor of the Province, Gov. Lilia Pineda.

This is the laying of the time capsule.

Remember these bamboos? Hmm.

Aside from the traditional inauguration rites, a Bamboo Shoot (Labong) Cooking Demo was conducted. There were 5-6 dishes prepared. This was my first time to eat Labong and its tasteless, but still thankful for this opportunity.

These products are the reason why the place became a Business Village. Their goal is to produce Bamboo Desks and other furnishings for the livelihood of the people.
